Last week, I attended to English practise. In the first place, the teacher expalined us what we were going to work with. So she started wth classroom practise 5, which consisted on telephone English. We learned several expressions and phrases people use when telephoning (this language is more informal that everyday English). We read too an example dialogue. After this, we visited a web related to that topic which is very didactic. If you want you can visit it because there are some important differences (http://esl.about.com/library/speaking/bltelephone vocab.htm). In this website we did lots of exercises and we also did three listening activities.
Next, Ana gave us a photocopy in which we had to complete four conversations employing the key vocabulary we had learnt before. When we finished the activity, we saw a video divided in three sections (all of them were related to the topic ‘Telephoning’) whose leading actors were burglars who were wearing a clown’s fancy dress. We did some exercises while we were watching it.
In the practise Ana revised modal verbs, although this lesson belonged to another practise and gave us another photocopy in order to revise modals in our own.
On Wednesday, my oral presentation’s clasmates and me went to Ana’s office to show her the guide of our formal presentation.
This week people celebrate the local festivities of Alcoy, so I hope you had a great time.
See you soon!
