Good morning:
Now I’ve go out of a class and I have free time to tell you about what I’ve done this week in English II classes. As you know, on Tuesday I’ve attended to third practical class. On the one hand, Ana has continued with oral presentation lessons. This week she has shown us how to prepare and give the introduction because it is the key to attract the audience and achieve they had a good time. It is also useful to organize the oral presentation in the main parts the speaker is going to speak about. So, in order to learn the right way of doing this introduction we can use several expressions and sentences (I think they are very useful). Next, we have seen two videos in which the same person does a bad and a good introduction and we have done two listening exercises for training our listening skills. Finally we have done the introduction of a presentation.
On the other hand, we have done classroom practice, which has consisted of relative clauses (defining and non-defining). We have learnt the uses of a defining and non-defining relative clause, the sorts of relative clauses and pronouns usually used, how to structure a sentence if a relative clause is needed, etc. Lastly we have done some exercises in which we have applied these.
The next day I’ve attended to theoretical class. First of all, we have practised English sounds: short and long vowels, diphthongs, etc. Gari has spent the second part of the class to revise relative clauses. We have done lots of exercises. For example, we have done exercises of making definitions, of making one sentence from two, to complete and correct sentences,…
I hope you had a good weekend.
Goodbye!
