Last week, I only could attend to practical class, on Tuesday. The first thing we done was to correct an exercise related to relative clauses and another related to the introduction of oral presentations. Next, we started with the third practise. This lesson dealt with linking the parts in which oral presentation is divided by using some connectors. In addition, we watched two videos that reflected the success and the failure of the talk because of the use or the omission of connectors. Later, Ana explained us the right kind of language that makes a presentation more formal. We learnt the formal verbs equivalents to less formal verbs we usually use. After this, we made aware of the importance of visual aids in a speech: they help us to support our explanations and help the audience to receive our message. Finally, we started with ‘práctica de aula 3’. It has consisted of searching in 3 sections information about topics related to our discipline.
